Could you put a price tag of £60k on any of your loved ones life if they died working for the NHS
when they could and should have been better protected.
This is negligence pure and simple.
How much would the government pay out if they were sued, a lot more than £60k.

I agree, but Im not in a place to say how much £££ is enough.....from what Im hearing through friends in the NHS ( union people) and it's early news to them so needs time to confirm through their legal people ......is that it's not silence money, but a gesture of sorts if you like....any negligence in the workplace litigation is wayyyyyyy down the line.

I choose to attend its part of my job to go in I get paid I'm glad that the government is going to give me 60k to my wife if I die from COVID but I also have the right to walk away if I do not want to attend a patient that's the thing no one is forced

Ppe is a tricky area but the virus gets through the defences that we have, due to mistakes I've seen nurses not change their masks make mistakes cross-contamination because they are human beings people make mistakes

the ppe is there you have a right not to go in if it's not provided

whats a nurses life worth a million two million pounds ? 60k is a lot more than a car accident and being over 50 I'm going to be screwed soon for life insurance anyway but if we give the nurses that die from covid money what about all the people that caught it because they went to Tescos and some moron coughed all over them
