some people do and some dont. airing it can help if its harsh so take lid off and gently squeeze some air out then put back on and shake the hell out of it.
i cant remember which my man is, has it got a cream base in it or is it more fruit. fruits can be vaped quite quickly after mixing but creams and custards need weeks if not months.

No, just steep it, as advised. Some mixes, can be shake and vape (straightaway), most aren't, they require time to develop flavour and or to lose the harshness. I didn't mention steeping, as you might have enjoyed it straight off the bat.
