Patina Fail!

Well after 2 attempts at a fire and ice patina on my smpl it has turned out a complete fail,the mustard patina part came out fine on both attempts

But where it was meant to be just ammonia and pink salt solution,absolutely nothing both times not even a hint of greenish/blues

That was after 3.5 hours and the tutorial I watched for this patina said it took 2,I really don't know where I'm going wrong.
Any apes more experienced in patina's able to share a couple of tips,would be great

make sure you dont go crazy with the amount of mustard you put on. When you hit it with the ammonia you will get a run off. Anywhere that has this run off will most likely not get the blues you want. To prevent this from happening i usually do fire and ice jobs with the mod at an angle to stop the mustard spreading all over the mod

Sweet,cheers @Drummergav the first attempt the whole mod looked like I'd put streaks of mustard on it tho I hadn't,I'll give it another go tomorrow third times the charm,cheers[emoji106][emoji3]

After a 3rd and 4th attempt I gave up and decided to just go with just a mustard patina

I actually quite like it,I should have just went with this in the first place,lol[emoji3]
