hi,is there anywhere on the forum where it explains the difference between PG or VG?cheers rob

Vegetable Glycerin (VG) is a thick, sweet liquid. VG produces luscious clouds of vapor. VG also imparts a sweeter taste to your liquid.

Propylene Glycol (PG) is a much thinner tasteless liquid. PG produces more of a “throat hit” than VG does, which simulates the feel of smoking better. PG also has a higher rate of sensitivity for some people, meaning that some people just can’t use PG in their vape.

I bought some vg by mistake last week after clicking the wrong link for my usual ry4. Tastes of not much really. The flavour doesn't come through nearly as well. Got 30ml of the stuff too so mixing it up with some other to get rid.

Flavour comes through better with PG but it also increases throat hit

Yeah, I usually have 70/30 mix but I was shocked at how flavourless pure vg ry4 is. Good vapour though like you say.

Being new I don't know much about PG/VG and have been getting the 70/30 mix of every flavour i've bought. So this thread has sort of illuminated it a bit for me, thanks for that. How noticable would the difference be if I bought 50/50? or 60/40 if that's available? I like a bit of throat hit but flavour is just as important, as is a decent puff of 'smoke'

How about making your own juice? It's not difficult and you get to play about with PG/VG ratios all you want. And nicotine levels and flavour for that matter.

Hi Alan
Thanks for the suggestion. Maybe in time (and when the bank balance permits) I might give home brewing a bash!
