Hi there,

I'm not an ex-smoker like many people here and like most vapers generally. Admittedly most of my friend group use nicotine one way or another and (of my own volition) I've enjoyed it with a drink on a night out with some friends. However my experiences have been very hit or miss. Some vapes that I've tried that are 20mg salts have caused no chest issues, others have. I've tried 3mg freebase juices that are fine and 12mg freebase liquids that are not. My experiences have been very inconsistent. Usually after trying I've felt a tight chest that doesn't prevent me from breathing properly or exercising, but is just uncomfortable. It always clears up after a few days, but is certainly annoying.

Does anyone have an idea of what this might be? I'm somewhat concerned I have a nicotine allergy, which would be a huge shame as I enjoy it so much. Is this just a problem that goes away if you soldier on with it?

Thanks.

You don't need to do it and you're having an adverse reaction to it from the off, why continue and turn it into an addiction? It's just not for you mate.

*But yeah it could be a nicotine/PG allergy or a nickel allergy, hard to tell without knowing what devices/juices you're using when you react.

Hi and welcome to the planet (i think).
im sorry if im a bit blunt and straight to the point.
usually we will bend over backwards to help and advise but im sorry to say with your post and attitude get ready for the popcorn moment.
I think you will find around 98% if not more who join here are smokers trying to get of the cigs.

its attitudes like this that are giving the anti vape brigade their ammunition and why they are trying to ban vaping altogether.
from a device that used to be the saver of many lives its now lets save the kids from disposables and ban vaping altogether.

Nicotine is addictive and why it took me 37 years to finally get off the smokes thanks to vaping.
it may be at least 95% safer than smoking but that is for someone getting off the killer cigs and not someone thats taking it up for fun to be kool with their friends.

all i will say is STOP the nicotine now. if your going to vape then at least use just zero nicotine. your body will thank you in the future.

Kick the Nic altogether. I'm not sure I understand why a non ex-smoker would want to start vaping, but then again, why did I start smoking all those years ago as a teenager. You can get 0% E-liquid in 50-60ml bottles I would suggest that if you feel the need to give them a go, stay away from the Nicotine you don't need it.

Please, please don’t start. Though it’s 95% safer than smoking, vaping with its 15% could still destroy your life.
Most of us here have spent decades trying to kill ourselves with stinkies, and escaped thanks to vaping.
But if I knew, at 12, what I now know. Nothing could make me start.
Joining in with the crowd, just isn’t worth it.

It's a proud moment, watching the youth taking their first tentative steps toward a lifetime of addiction, makes me fill up....
