Hello,

Been vaping now for just over 8 weeks (I think). Started on an innokin endura T20s and initially used the 15.ohm coil included with no issues.

When I tried the 0.8 ohm coil that also came in the kit I found myself with occasional spit back and issues with liquid build up in the drip tip. On occasions there was also e liquid leaking out from around the seal on the cap where the top fill mechanism unscrews.

I ordered some more 1.5 coils but got sent the 0.8's by mistake. So tried another 0.8 coil while the issue was resolved just to see if I had a bad coil first time out. The same issues occured. My pack of 1.5 coils has now come and the issues seem to have gone away now. No havin to clean out the drip tip every few hours and no spit back.

I now have an Innokin MVP 4 so even tried varying the wattage between the 16-18w range suggested for the 0.8 ohm coil but the issues still seemed to be there.

Have now switched back to 1.5 ohm coils.

Was I doing something wrong with the 0.8 ohm coils? Or is it that they may not be the best choice for this tank. Just looking for others experience or guidance. To know if I was doing something wrong in the way I vaped it or if there is something I may have missed.

Thanks for reading

Rich

The only thing I can think to try would be a slightly wider bore drip tip.

There was a straighter drip tip in the box. The one I have on is kinda like the top of a bell shaped.

Will give that a go when I try another 0.8 coil.

Thanks for the advice

That sounds promising. Report back when you try it. Am interested to see if there is any difference

Will do. Might be a week or so before I do as I'm heading off to Spain for a week with the kids and only packed 1.5 coils.

I like the tank but only used the lower res coil once. I think the problem is there's not enough airflow to fully exploit the capabilities of a sub-ohm coil and what (I think) happens is the juice therefore overheats at higher power levels, hence the spitbacks.
If you want a higher power MTL vape, the Nautilus 0.7Ω is a good coil, and the Nautilus tanks do have more airflow but still not quite enough for >18W.
[The original big Nautilus has much more airflow than the Mini or the N2 but you can't (legally) buy it in the UK any more.]

Sounds about where I got to with it. Doesn't matter how you pull on it hard or soft you still seem to get too much liquid coming through. Coils only rated up to 18w. I was looking at possibly getting a nautilus X as I going to keep it for MTL. I now have an i sub ve tank which came with my MVP4 which I am going to try sub ohm with. Still have those 0.8 coils though. May see if I can flog them with the T20s kit if I go with aspire MTL tank.

Hello,

Sorry it's been so long . Tried the different drip tip and it slightly reduced the issues. I then went back to the 1.5 coils and issues went away.

Although I have now tried some 70vg 30pg liquid with the 0.8 ohm and all was perfect no matter which drip tip you use.

For the 1.5 ohm they are perfect for 50pg 50vg whereas the 0.8 seem in my eyes better for 70vg 30pg.

Still an amazing tank and is way better than the nautilus X I got. Much better flavour and no hassles.

Found a slight solution in that if you use 70vg 30pg liquid it works well with the 0.8 coil. I was using 50/50 before.

Tried a nautilus X and to be honest flavour wise it didn't touch the t20s.

From your nautilus recommendation I have a Triton mini coming to me which takes all the nautilus coils and the Triton mini ones with nice adjustable airflow .We shall see how that works out with all the liquids I use.

Glad things have resolved for you.
