The Profile Unity RTA’s tank capacity varies among 2ml, 3.5ml, and 5ml. To comply with the TPD regulation, a 2ml version is made for Britain, and the other TPD version contains a silicone tank reducer to turn 3.5ml into 2ml for compliance. You can also get a 3.5ml tube for the 2ml version, and a 5ml tube for the 3.5ml version.

And that's why I'm confused.... "the OTHER tpd version"..... there's more than one tpd version? I'm so confused.... I guess I'll find out tomorrow

TPD is Europe wide. Problem being each country has cherry picked what it actually implements.

Manufacturers have used various methods to work with/around the 2ml limit. One is the straight forward 2ml tank, no extensions in the box. Another is a 3.5ml (or bigger) tank with, normally an insert, to reduce capacity to 2ml but is removable by the end user to increase capacity.
One of the reasons for buying from China is that you can usually source a non TPD compliant tank.

Both my two tpd versions came with a thick plastic 2ml tank and a 3.5ml glass tank which came in a separate box. It also came with a extender for the 5ml glass but no 5ml glass.

Got my first direct from Wotofo, 3.5/5ml with extender in box. Same with second from FT. Bit of a gamble buying over here. Couple of vendors stick 2 finger to TPD but as there's only one UK authorised wholesaler for Wotofo (that I know of) others will have to take a chance on buying direct or from Chinese vendors & hope they don't get snagged at Customs.

Got both mine from ecigone within 10 days of each other. The first one was a TPD 2ml insert/3.5ml glass and the second one was a non-tpd, 3.5ml with 5ml glass included. WTF ecigone?

So just picked mine up, looks like it comes with the spare 3.5ml glass. Can't complain for £20

The only reduced tank I have is the Falcon and that's removable. I assume they all are because fixing it permanently would surely be more difficult than just making a thicker tank?

Tell Vaporesso that, the Cascade Baby, that comes as part of the Armour Pro Kit, has a half inch piece of stainless steel press fitted in to the top of the tank. This makes it extremely difficult to fill with anything other than 50/50 juice as it restricts the top fill port. I’ve cut most of it away now so it’s a bit better and holds about 3.5 ml. I wish they had fitted a silicon bung.
