A couple of pictures say a thousand words, shaky hands though using my phone

Really quite simple, just a matter of pulling the cables back into the box and running them to the BT+ and BT- and connecting the other two wires from FT+ and FT- to the positive and negative of the 510 connector.

I used a short auto ego connector, but you have to solder the connector first or you'll melt the box. The hole for the connector was drilled to 13mm then using a reaming tool made a little larger as ego connectors come out at just over 13.5mm in diameter.

The resistance meter is an exact fit for the box so is held in place by itself. I'd put a little epoxy in over the connector if I could find some but a drop of superglue might do.

Are you going to do this as a kit of bits?

I can't face soldering the connectors to be honest, it can really ruin a day having to do 10 of them when I have orders to pack.

I don't mind drilling the 13mm hole though, it'll just need widening slightly with a reaming tool

Why don't you just put everything in a nice package with instructions and the customer does everything themselves :D

I would definitely be up for the challenge and I'm sure others would be ;)

+1 for this I would more than likely buy a kit if it was on offer

Ok, I'm not soldering the connectors though lol

Actually, the connectors in question have come to me as a separate outer bit, grommet and centre pin so that could work.

eh, so would that be a case of threading the wire through the middle of the 510 soldering the middle pin and pulling it back through the connector?

That looks great.
I have been thinking about making one of these for a while and now I've seen it I think I definitely will :)
Will have to wait till I have fettled a vv mod first though :D

Yeah, exactly that. best way is to pull on the wire to pull it back through. Tests your solder joint too :) And lube it or the grommet can split. I've not got the shortie automatic ego connectors on the site yet. I'll get them up now
