Ramp up time

A parallel mech pretty much eliminates ramp up time, DNA200 with its pre heat if you're talking regulated.

Sorry I don't like to correct people coz you can sound a right jerk but when it comes to correcting advice I feel I have to. Just wanted to ask how a parallel mech pretty much eliminates ramp up ? Wiring in parallel gives exactly the same volts as using a single 18650 tube all having 2 cells does is give you double the mAh and spreads the loads across the 2 cells so when when you have a very low build you don't put a lot of stress on one cell. Using a dna200 gives you among other things the ability to warm your coils up fast then drop down to the wattage you want to vape at. Any regulated device will eliminate ramp you by just turning the watts up but on a normal one your set at vape at that wattage. Then you have series mechs which eliminates ramp up coz you have double the volts but then you have to have the right resistance that will take the high volts to be safe.

99% of the time I use ni80 as the ramp up is pretty quick or if I'm using a series box I tend to use kanthal. Coils like claptons then definitely ni80. Now and then I use SS and I would like to try a wire that has a blend of kanthal and nicrome I've heard of. That's all mech mechs so if using regulated it doesn't matter what I use and temp control I don't do though now having a dna200 I may give it another go and I'll be using SS with that coz I won't vape nickel or titanium

No you're right to correct me, I meant series not parallel, had them the wrong way round when I typed... ..ie as you said the 8.4 volts will heat the coil faster than 4.2 but will give the same watts at the coil built over the whole inhale.....and yes mentioned the DNA200 as you then have 200 watts of pre heat at hand which will be cut when desired temp is hit, it's instant and you can watch it on a graph and adjust while testing.

There is also the good old fashion non geeky way I still use today on my mechs..! could be used on a basic regulated as well, I press the fire button while lifting to my mouth ie..half a second of pre heat before I start to inhale.

Suppose my point was I use whatever wire i want to get the best vape then I use power to elimate ramp up time...
