RAPEX Notification: EGO blister pack kits

Yes the Joyetech eGo, You'll see lots labelled EGO or Ego, Only Joyetech actually seem to use eGo, and usually Joyetech is mentioned somewhere on the Package, all the rest are the usual Chinese rip off makes - Fake consumer goods seems to be the National sport of the PRC

i didn't even notice the price tag £22 for that fuck a duck that's expensive you wouldn't even pay that for a genuine eGo

It's dodgy vendors like these that give the government more ammo to put restrictions on e-cigs/vaping. I wish one of those blew up in there own face £22 for something that isn't worth £1 sorry but it really annoys me these folk.

Unenforcable RAPEX though, all the dodgy sellers will do now is change the cardboard backing and the product will be exactly the same. in the blister pack.

Unfortunately that exact thought crossed my mind too!

Yep, too many people out to make a quick buck and no thought to who gets hurt, makes me sick!

my local shop has had alot of there "ego" type batteries come back recently some separating at the join some refusing to charge a few have even got really hot then stopped working altogether! & they got them from a so called reputable supplier, there seems to be no real way of checking the quality of them so all ego type batteries are a potential risk,if i had a shop i would refuse to stock them.

When I was a noob I fell for the overpriced blister pack con. £20 from a guy in the market!

I know there are reputable vendors who stock blister packs and say they're fine, but it seems to me there's no way to tell which, if any, are OK.

Mine actually worked OK. The CE4 was fine (as far as they can be) and the battery worked and within a week it had paid for itself in unsmoked fags, but when I sat on it and broke it, further investigation showed it was no more than a 300mAh battery masquerading as a 900mAh, with the spare space in the casing filled with foam rubber.

Fortunately, in my case the only flaw was the misrepresentation, and it was otherwise properly wired (though the charger packed up early and had to be replaced).

Due to the amount of misrepresented (and sometimes poorly constructed) blister packs, I would advise anyone against buying one.

I had the same, an 1100mah which was 650mah and upon examination quite dangerous looking.

I'll admit im from a market and fairs background but wed never stock that, yet sadly I see alot who do :(

A note on that kit the short lead charger is a big issue, there is a similar carded kit with along lead that's fine I had a batch of those short lead chargers and they was about as useful as a chocolate teapot, we had to send them back. £22.00 is a bit pricey

edit: that fill the case with foam is still doing the rounds 1100 cases with a 650mah and polystyrene packing great until the packing breaks down and you get a direct short.
