PRODUCT RECALL! Trustfire Chargers TR-001

Bought one of these from an amazon marketplace buyer on the 9th April, contacted at 11pm last night via amazon, reply this morning and a full refund, keep the charger. They were contacted by others and did the same thing but have now requested the certificates (they are an official Trustfire vendor btw). Like other, they are sure that the fault is with the 2 pin type like you would get in France.

We were told it was a lead issue in France. Originally, a few years ago we did receive an EU batch and had to change the leads. We have also had ours PAT tested with particular attention to transformer and insulation and it came back ok. It would have been a bit more helpful if the French authorities gave more details as some of the UK and other RAPEX alerts had .i.e detailing exactly which component had a fault. Also at the bottom of the RAPEX website they do say the make and model noted may only appear to be the real product.

The OP has the information with the batch number affected. Check yours against it.

doesnt have any batch numbers on the back just patent number? if you mean that tehn im guessing im fine zl201130512297.7

The batch number is printed on the hologram sticker.

I've posted I received one of these in the Vapemail/Postie thread. After further inspection and reading it seems it may have been a problem with the 2 pin cables but I am still not sure. I don't feel safe using it even though it has a UK 3 pin plug.

We had one of these and it got a LOT of use. Never trusted it really - it makes a horrible noise (apparently it's something to do with the cycling of a component). This thread gave me a reason to order a nice new D4 and as soon as I plugged it in I felt happier about having a charger plugged in in my house.

When it comes to power, never buy anything with FIRE in the name and always buy the best that you can afford.
