I'm putting together a schematic for a 10a raptor build and have a few questions that hopefully a clued up modder can help with.
I'm basically following the diagram below.
I have a couple of questions though so if anyone can help that would be great.

1: Do the switches see the full current? I'd rather use a small switch and mosfet if it does.
2: If I used a 470ohm pot, could I do away with the 200ohm resitor?

pin 2 and 4 are seeing full current. Regarding the pot it should have spec sheet for the resistor.

edit: from the left pin 2,3&4 are full current.

the spec sheet here http://power.murata.com/data/power/okr-t10-w12.pdf makes for easy reading. (page 4)..the logic is 6v maximum output, at which point the resistance should be ~200ohms.
ergo, a pot with a zero as the lowest value, in line with a 200ohm resistor is what is used in the wiring diagram...find a pot that has a range 200ohms<->infinity and you are good to go.
failing that, stick to the diagram

the video that the schematic came from, the chap sold them as kit parts.
if you are going that route I'd be quite happy to order a kit from you boss

That's what I'm thinking if it comes out alright. Got to test the parts I've got first.

Kit sounds like a good idea seedy! Would make life a lot easier for folks that don't have loads of bits to hand like resistors, and will save them buying loads of wrong ones!

I would prefer to see a 200ohm pot in there personally, but the 470 will work fine.

I think all your questions are answered already, don't forget fuses!

Also volt display should probably be included on your diagram as you would normally want one on a VV. I probably wouldn't include it in kit though. IMHO

I'm going to put a voltmeter and fuse in mine. Where do you think would be the best place to put the fuse?
