Hello peeps,

Kayfun v4. I removed the tank today but cannot get the build deck to separate from the 510 base, air holes and below. I have done this so many times but it's like the thing it stuck together. I use pliers to get a better grip but still nothing. Already depressed as I scratched the base 510 like an idiot. Any advice? Normally it like screws off so smoothly with just a touch of force.

Remove the 510 screw, then see if you can loosen the base section below the air holes.

If not, then use grips, not pliers to hold the deck (protected by some form of rubber), then insert a nail or screwdriver in one of the air holes and twist off.

I've had to do it many times.

Funnily enough one of mine decided to do this to me this morning!!! I've tried all the usual things that have worked for me in the Past but the Little Bastard won't budge!!! I'm going to blitz it in the Sonic cleaner tomorrow and see if that does anything to free it up!!!

Check your juice control, If that is closed it will tend to lock the base in place, once you are sure it's open then grip the logo'd tank ring with something rubbery (Marigolds, Vape grips, inner tube) and put a small screwdriver in the airhole to give you some leverage as you twist it...

i had to freeze, boil then refreeze one of mine

I will try the freeze for little while and try it again. Having to use the Atlantis tank today. Miss my top fill.

guys...freezing did not work. I am getting some grip pliers tomorrow. Tomorrow I will either break the whole thing or open it...can do both (then cry).

have a go at boiling it fella.
i put mine in a pan of water and let it boil for a few minutes.
if you try the pliers be careful i completely fucked two bases up.

guys...success!!!! I got a plier grip tool and tried was using a plastic cover to stop the tool from scratching the base cover but it was not moving so I said F-this...no plastic cover and I gripped onto it for life and then used another gripper tool to hold the build base as normal pliers were not working. It twisted off. Cleaned the threads for good 15mins under water and rinsed it all out and then cleaned the threads some more. Base it not at scratched as I thought it would be but I have the kayfun back.

Put in my first self build standard coil (not micro) at 3mm on 26G 8 wraps to get 1.17ohm-ish.

Will finish the atlantis coil I started today (will be dead by tommorow pretty sure, get 1.5 days usually at 22w) then back to KFv4.

Forgot to add that you cannot buy a direct 22mm base replacement from cloud9vaping but they do have the 23mm base, will probably pick it up. Not bothered by the slightly bigger base.

Peeps...kayfun v4 not opening again. This time its the chimney section at the top. Its simply not screwing off to access the build deck. I've tried the freezer method and still nothing. I can spin the juice control at the botton without issues. I destroyed a screwdriver getting a grip via the air holes. Still nothing. Any ideas?
