A coil update...
Okay, so, after purchasing a SMOK RSBT hybrid and sending it back because it just drove me freaking insane (I am not saying it isn't a decent product, I think if you have small, nimble fingers and you don't mind having to twist wires all the way around the posts, and you are able to get the thing to work without leaking, go for it) I am now waiting for my kanger subtank mini to arrive. In the meantime, I have settled on a 28 guage nano coil with 12 wraps and a 32guage paralell coil with 7 (or 14 I guess) wraps as my two coils of choice for my pro tank. I did build a clapton coil using 32g wrapped around 28g.....was a total bugger to actually install in the coil head with 5 wraps, and read 0.0 ohms....I am guessing that it was either not wrapped tightly enough, or because of the width (even when wrapped around an 18g needle) it was probably touching the coil head somewher or other that I couldn't see....in any case, I think that I will probably end up sticking with the parallel coil build, but I am going to have to try the clapton coil when the sub tank arrives because it is such a challenge...
