Rebuilding this coil??

Anyone have experience with the Nature Vape micro coils? - here

I would like to rebuild the bugger however I understand they use a resistance/non-resistance set up. Apart from that, the method would be identical to rebuilding any other micro coil. It's the wire that's throwing me.

Have you done it before or got an idea of how this is achieved? If so, would love to hear from you.

Do a search on YouTube for a protank rebuild. They look look the same. Rip Trippers does a good tutorial.

Iam thinking of getting a couple tomorrow but what I have heard that you don't have to rebuild the coil you just have to pop the top post off and pull the cotton wick out dry burn a couple of times to get rid of the gunk build up and then just replace the cotton wick and jobs a goodun

I know how to carry out a protank build. I was just wondering if you simply follow the same procedure as these don't use kanthal?

Absolutely. I've been using one for over a month and have changed the cotton almost daily. Piece of piss.

But eventually the coil (wire) will need to be changed and I want to be able to do it myself rather than pay £5.99 for a new one.

@MrBertSpinkleton I have to use no res/res builds in atomisers anyway and buy the wires pre-made from Rob @stealthvape

You can just get the wire there and build your own, rather than paying for them prebuilt?

EDIT: This is the link to the wires

There are atties like the Magoo, I-atty or Nautilius (not Aspire) which need no res/res/no res builds all of which I use :)

Thanking you! That was my exact reason - I didn't want to buy new coils every time.

So let me pick your brains - you simply build this like any other micro coil with kanthal? Do I use a similar mm thickness to achieve my desired ohm resistance? Are the number of wraps required same as that of kanthal? Why do they use this type if wire, what is the benefit?

The wires are already made pre-built to your ohm resistance you just need to create your coil ;)
You buy them in packs of 50, I normally get 1.5 ohm packs for singles and 2.4 ohm packs for dual coil builds
That is it - nothing else, no 0.2mm kanthal or guage nothing, it is all done for you :)

The only thing you need to do is create your coil using the darker piece of wire in the middle

The atomisers I mentioned in my post have ceramic cups and the wire comes down the sides and the no res wire attaches to a plastic washer underneath at the positive pin so even a little bit of current would melt it :)

Perfect! Just the info I was looking for. So the tails of your coil sit exactly where they would with a kanthal build?

In your opinion what are the benefits of using this wire against our good friend kanthal?

Well it still is kanthal, nothing changes in the build at all but our good friend @stealthvape has taken all the hard work out of it :D At one time it used to be a lot of hard work...

I used to have to buy a reel of no resistance wire and a reel of kanthal wire and knot them together :)
Can you imagine how frustrating that job can be? How long I would spend getting the lengths correct?
How I was able to provide the forum with this chart? LOL

EDIT: One Benefit - The No resistance wire - the grommet will never get burnt as it does with a normal build
