Recipe mega thread

As much as I've enjoyed making up some recipes, I do believe the point of this thread was to rip off other juices.

Sent from my iPad using Planet of the Vapes

Considering most if not all these juices are readily available to be found via search engines and social media I don't see it as that at all.

I'm sure the OP compiled them here to make it easier for the forum members.

Maybe your good self typed that to get the thread pulled ?

Who knows and who really cares ?

Nothing will ever be identical as taste is subjective so what you think might be nailed, I might think 2 or 3 flavours are missing.

OP feel free to use my concentrate spreadsheet if you want to list them anywhere if this thread does get pulled.

Yes, I guess if the recipe with FA in it also has TPA or TFA it will be FlavourArt.

atomeyes if there is a certain recipe, let me know what one, and I will see if I can find out more, and confirm FlavourArt or The Flavour Apprentice

I was particularly looking at the first Unicorn Milk.

Which ones?

no comment.

Would they not have to fake labels and the correct containers too? seems a lot of work when they could just sell a tast-a-like without all the messing around and deception?

Copying packaging is trivially easy. You can buy a reasonable printer/copier/scanner for next to nothing and bottles are cheap and easy to get.

This is kind of the point of this thread, its a set of building blocks, over and over again you see combinations of flavours cropping up in the same ratios, these fundamentals will help someone new to mixing when trying to come up with their own juice......

I don't agree. Lots of the really top juices don't use these fundamentals, they do something a little different, or the recipe is more involved. That's why they stand out so much.

For example I've never seen a clone recipe using layering. I don't know if that's the right name for it but layering is when you make a juice in layers and then combine the steeped juice at the end. Say you're making Peaches & Cream, you make up a Peaches juice and a Cream juice, steep both of them and then mix them 2 weeks later to create the finished product. Every clone recipe I've seen is a list of ingredients and %'s mix it all together and steep a bit and you're done.

The more layers the harder this is to get right and the longer the development process. (it also makes it significantly harder to copy, but that's a by product really)

If the point of this thread was to introduce new DIY mixers to the basic fundamentals then it would be a list of great recipes that DIYers have come up with, some of them might be taste-a-likes but most of them wouldn't. There's already a wealth of juice recipes on POTV and on other forums and surprise surprise you see the same ratios and 'fundamentals' cropping up in those too.

I also think e-juice mixing has a undeserved esoteric shroud around it putting people off even trying....anyone with with a little practice and reading up can knock out excellent juices, and the more people engaging, the more innovation we will see.

I agree, though in my experience it takes quite a lot of time to be able to make excellent juices, with a little reading and practice you can make decent stuff for sure, and the more you practice the better you get.

Indeed this is the case, all are already in the public domain for sites such as Reddit, and my intention was to collate them into one place where the forum member could discuss what Version were best, suggest improvements and tweaks, and to see what flavour concentrates go into their favourite e-juses, so they can build on and tweak them to get something perfect for their own subjective taste.

But, the way some people are acting, it like I'm offering to mix these up my self and sell them off to under cut the creator while doing my best super villain laugh.......rather then what I'm actually doing, just curating data already out there.

And, its not even as if this is the only thread with clone recipes on the forum!?!? :20:

Thanks mate, really hope it doesn't have to come to that :(

Which ones?

Actually there have been quite a few that are way off the mark. If you are happy to put this much effort into trying to find ways to replicate peoples recipes (and by replicate I mean rip off entirely) why not create a not clone thread where you make up recipes that are original?

Would they not have to fake labels and the correct containers too? seems a lot of work when they could just sell a tast-a-like without all the messing around and deception?

and yet there have been many people already fake juices from well known brands, labels and all and all fed by the oh-so innocent people 'just sharing recipes'. Sorry but this kind of thread pisses me off as its not friends sharing a recipe of a taste a like between each other it is advertising it on one of the largest vape forums in the world potentially for those that genuinely don't have decent morals to try and rip off - again, as has been done many times already.

This is kind of the point of this thread, its a set of building blocks, over and over again you see combinations of flavours cropping up in the same ratios, these fundamentals will help someone new to mixing when trying to come up with their own juice......I doubt many people will just take these clones and only make them for ever, rather they will take them and adapt them to preference and experiment, hopefully bringing new juices into the world, and being more inclined to share them.

How is it building blocks of flavour in ratios? I don't see any correlation in the thread to suggest what flavours go together and why, its actually much more productive for learning to have flavour combinations do or don't work together whereas I just see attempts to rip off peoples work directly.

I also think e-juice mixing has a undeserved esoteric shroud around it putting people off even trying....anyone with with a little practice and reading up can knock out excellent juices, and the more people engaging, the more innovation we will see.

Hardly, there have been tons of new mixers that a lot of us have helped out with advice and even suggested companies to deal with and why. Perhaps juice makers would be less guarded if threads like this didn't exist.

Now I have seen the OP on this thread generally being obnoxious about the forums stance on this thread if the recipes are requested being taken down.

Sorry fella but you have not come across as someone humbly trying to learn flavour combinations but as someone who wants the 'prestige' of finding a direct copy of a flavour and will host it anywhere else and link to it if the forum doesn't want it here - why? That shows utter disregard and disrespect toward the juice companies and the forum rules.

Personally I doubt many of my recipes would be easy to replicate but am not keen to find out as some asshole somewhere will do their own parody label, own parody name and try to sell their version for less to undermine all the work we have done to develop ours.

Direct faked Suicide Bunny - been done, labels and all.
Direct faked Mrs Lords - again, labels and all.

None of them above are able to protect their brand from health and quality issues because the reviews of 'this mothers milk tastes like camels ringpieces' don't really take into consideration the legitimacy of these fakes

There is a whole child board for this already, E-Liquid Recipes | Planet of the Vapes so not sure how duplicating that will help?

Yes, all that prestige I'm after with comments like:

These are not my recipes, and come from a number of different site. I can only take credit for curating and maintaining other peoples fantastic work.

Let me know what forum rules I have broken?

I didn't make this thread a skicky, mate!

Capitalism is a bitch, right!

Maybe you could lobby for changes to the intellectual property laws?

If you have a issue with this thread, or forum rules take it up with the forum staff.

If you have a problem with me, feel free to PM me about it.

Ahh you know what ... maybe we are being too harsh .. so in the spirit of fairness hows about this ...

seeing as I'm sure you wouldn't want to directly annoy any vendors .. so lets make it fair shall we?

Any Vendors who do NOT want their products and name associated with this thread ...

please say so in this thread

This will of course be binding ... if we see any recipes for vendors who have explicitly stated they dont want them on here .. this thread will be pulled immediatey. PlumeBlu is this fair enough to you?

Ill start
