Slightly more than you wanted to spend but well worth the extra is the fabulous GP Paps V4. They are known for their fantastic switch, simple lines and being very reliable.

There is a thread here about them somewhere.

They are amazing and the customer service from Vapour Arts is also brilliant. Selling on Pre order for 99Euro.

SMPL isn't really what can be classed as a good first mech, due to being a hybrid lol. Brilliant mech though, love mine, just not what I'd recommend as a first.

Still a mech mod (lol)
If the atty is screwed on first and it has a normal thread length its golden.
