None of this is my work I found it and thought I would share it for those with worn threads and the skills.

All credit goes to ERICSKA on e-cigarette-forum.com

Try this at your own risk as I've not performed this on either of my worn out Vamos
I have no skillz and too many thumbs

Pull the top part off from the Vamo which is a very firm press fitted part...
luckily it's a 2 pieces thingy.
As you can see the 501 on a Vamo is a non standard part and has a large washer element at the base.

You will have to machine a thick washer ring and attach under 510/ego adaptor. Maybe simple if you have a micro lathe.
On the left the Vamo part and the right is a normal 510/ego

The following picture are the original part and made part partially assembled showing the electrical connections.

Due to 510-ego adapter being a little too tall, you may have to grind it off a little. You also need to notch the grooves for airway if your adapter comes without or you need to grind more than 1mm.

How to make the new part and connect the made washer and 501/EGO adapter in next post due to forum picture limit...

To make the part you will need 1x 510/EGO adapter, 1x 510-510 adapter of the type that has the threaded ring on the base. (the pictures below should help make that clearer)

As stated in the first part this is not my fix and I have not yet attempted it so I'm not sure I could answer any questions other than translate my attempts at a step by step.

Try this at your own risk as it would take someone smarter than me to confirm this is a good working method that is safe to attempt and that the diagram measurements are correct.

I would think it is at least a good guide that someone could confirm or improve upon.
If that is the case there maybe a market for a part like this as the reports of worn Vamo threads is on the increase, I have 2 sitting here and would be interested if the price was sensible.

UPDATE

@jrob3rts has informed me that Stealthvape has replacement Vamo SS heads in stock, I'm guessing these will be have the same plated brass thread so now there's a choice, as new with a cap swap or something a bit tougher if you have the skills...

UPDATE #2

Just ordered 2 caps from Stealthvape and have to say DAMN !! in a good way...

I ordered, put the kettle on, had a poo (wasn't a challenging delivery) by the time I returned and checked my email 20 minutes later they were marked shipped, I'd like to know what nic levels they are on, must be buzzin...

I didn't known where else to share such amazing service, so here it is 10/10 Stealthvape.

ive got one sat in my vape box with a broken pin which has shatered already fixed it after the rubber gromit perished will get round to fixing it sometime its just one of those things

To get my Vamo back to working order,I used the base(where the coil screws in)from a T3S clearo, extended the positive wire from the circuit board in the Vamo, mounted the centre pin in a cut-down nipple top from a juice bottle, and though it looks shit, the fix is still working several weeks later. If I ever remember,I will be ordering a new top cap for the Vamo eventually.
