Is the top end assembly (and 510 connector) of a ss vamo ss or brass?

None of my SS Vamo's have stripped threads and my oldest ones are v2, and still in daily use after 9 months

Only had one problem and that was the centre pin on the connector and had to replace the grommet, my fix is here

Later I removed the whole head to add heatshrink and another grommet then re-soldered everything, but I didn't really have to do that I just wanted to get it apart and see how it all worked

Glad it worked out for you. My chrome V5 (still has good threads) has an intermittent contact problem with the (-) button. Probably soldering. Almost bought a new ss v5, but went for a nemises clone and kick at the last minute. Giving that a try. Would like to have a go at repairing the vamo, though.

My v5 has contact problem too but mine is the Plus button it can be fixed I will have a go later
