Hello,

Firstly, I'm not a user of this type of forum, and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to stare at the screen to see if a reply shows up or if I state my question and check in later.
Anyhow, here we go...due to changes (stupidly) in government legislation in Australia, vaping has been tightly restricted, and all our domestic suppliers have ceased to operate.
I was able to contact my usual guy recently, and he had some juice left, which I purchased, but he couldn't help me out regarding replacement coils.
My device is an Aegis Geek Vape, and the coils it uses are a Geek Vape IM1 (0.4 ohm 40-60W) Pack of 5.

Are you able to advise me of a reliable supplier in your country where I would be able to purchase this item?

Cheers, Graham.

Hi @Choosewisley and welcome to the planet.

Ive replied to your private message.

Tagging @Tazz to see if he can advise as he is also in Australia.

Forums are different from the likes of facebook where messages pop up while watching the screen. forums are different. if your on a pc just press F5 key to refresh the page. or if you leave your post to read others then come back to it any new posts will show below yours.

As i mentioned in the private message here in the UK we have no issues buying coils and most suppliers have them but the issue could be exporting them from the uk to aus through customs.

Hi mate. I use the same tank. I have a few months of coils left and then I'm finished. You take a chance if you order from overseas with customs. They intercept your package and you get fined. You could get away with it you might not. Personally when mine are done then I'm done.
Do they scan? Yes they do. I once sent two gifts overseas containing in each something that was restricted, nothing bad but just a stupid restriction on. One was scanned and returned to me with a note advising me not to do so again. The other made it through. We sure do have a woke hypocritical govt. They actually have a smoking room in parliament where they puff away on cigars whilst telling us we cannot vape. They make my stomach turn. But it is what it is.
Cheers.

Can't help with coils etc but one thing I've been doing for a while now is getting a few RTA's so if I can no longer get coils for whatever reason you can always fall back to building your own coils as spoils of wire and wick should be easier to get and will last years. At least this means u can carry on vaping .

Hey, Tazz(?), apologies for my delay in responding as I have had a few hectic days sorting out some urgent repairs on my vehicle.
I very much appreciate your advice and as I have never run foul of the law I don't wish to start now, besides, I'm too pretty to end up in goal ; ).
I have recently purchased 3 x 60ml of juice from my old supplier but I'm now down to a pack of 5 coils and like you, I'll have to resign myself to the inevitable.
It pisses me off that vaping was the only thing that got me off the cigs and I admit the juice that I am using has nil nicotine, but I still find it of some comfort to puff out some vape if I get a bit stressed.
Again, many thanks for your help, take care.
Cheers, Graham.

No worries mate. I know what you mean as when I started it was no nic but instantly I was happy to be off the cigs.
It's utterly ridiculous being told we can't vape. I can't stand even looking at the face of the health minister and change the Chanel when I see his face. 😡
"You can't vape" but "oh if you want to take any drug under the sun before you go to the concert no worries we'll test them for you for purity".

Hey Richard,

Thanks for responding. I confess that I would be best described as an unsophisticated user concerning making my own coils, and my understanding of the abbreviations, etc., has left me perplexed. So, what is an RTA?
Also, if I did decide to go down the 'Breaking Bad' path and start making my own, where would I be able to purchase the wire and wicks etc. and not breach any wanker importation restrictions?

Cheers, Graham.

Hi Graham,

An RTA is a Rebuildable Tank Atomizer. It looks very similar to a standard tank but instead of accepting stock coils it has a build deck where you can fit 1 or 2 coiled wires and then pass wicking material thru the coil(s). I dont know the feasibility of getting wire and wick in Australia or purchasing an RTA, hopefully @Tazz can throw some light on that.
