So aside from being a good way of sneaking my favourite artists song titles into a review .. what is so different about the eBaron Killer?

Well - its almost totally different from any of the standard atty's available at the minute, its not a clearo, a carto, a geny, or even a dripper ... but it does have elements of all of the above (barring the geny).

You may by now have heard of the eBaron Spiral and or Dripper Pro (the same thing with the pro having a flanged skirt to suit a provari) which is basically a dripping atomiser that takes a pre built ceramic/silica head.

Im a big fan of the spiral (kindly donated to me on my birthday by Markfletcher007), Im equally a fan of the iGo-L BUT for my personal taste .. the spiral has the edge in terms of flavour and vapour delivery if not in ease of recoiling and cost.

The Killer 705 is the same concept as the spiral/dripperPro .. with the very big bonus that it sits inside a carto tank and can be fed via two holes from said tank - so in essence a dripper .. fed from a carto tank. It even uses the same ceramic/silica heads, which can be pre bought for 5 for around a tenner OR rebuilt yourself .. if you can be assed messing around with non resistance and resistance wire (in actual fact .. its really not that hard .. less difficult than an SS Mesh rebuild.)

In these days of SS Mesh genesis atomisers, I often feel that silica wicks are starting to become a bit laboured and old hat. This little baby is a good case in point that sometimes silica is greater than mesh on a couple of points.

For a start .. if you find a silica based Atty where the flavour is good .. its instantly less faff than a geny (Now I do know some will argue that SS mesh is easy when you get the hang of it .. and I agree but it DOES need a blow torch, there is no getting away from that .. you need pots of water,VG and a blow torch no matter how easy and quick you can do it .. the minimum requirement is a feckin blowtorch!). To date for me .. the only silica attys that perform nearly as well as a geny are drippers - the vaunted iGo-L, the spiral et al.

Of course drippers are equally a pain when out and about. (note: I am no longer a fan of clearos .. at least not vivi's and ce4's ... I have yet to try a T3 .. but hear good things.)

With all that in mind something that has the same base as a good dripper BUT is fed by a tank? BONUS. my favourite delivery method for out and about is a carto and tank so add to this the bonus this item can also be used out of a tank for dripping? multi-purpose baby .. wheres the bad?

The Killer has a great flavour, really clean and on par with a genesis in my opinion .. in fact I'm tempted to say more consistently better than a geny when you take into consideration not all SS wicks seem to taste equal.

Vapour production is great (the bottom airhole really helps on this like it does with the spiral). the draw is a little tighter than the spiral (some would say a good thing!) but by no means tight. Ive found you can slide the tank up and down the carto to alter the draw (this possibly depends on the shape of the top of your mod)

I think this atty probably works best in a shorter standard Carto tank ... I have mine in a Big Boaby (cheers Purplefowler) and its RIGHT on the edge of being exactly the right size .. in actual fact the Boaby would benefit from being 1/2 a cm shorter in this case .. I can feel a Prive tank coming on.

You can see a video of how to put this thing together here : http://www.houseofmods.co.uk/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=Killer
so Im not going into the ins and outs of that. Ill finish on some general ratings

Ease of use : nice and easy if you have the right size tank .. a bit faffy on a larger dual coil tank.
Vapour Production : Good especially for silica wick
Flavour : really REALLY good ... better than my Aga or iGo-l and possibly slightly better than the spiral, this I suspect to be because the wicks stay constantly more wet. The only thing Ive tasted better so far is the Spheroid.
Throat hit: good, dependant on juice etc.

Overall ... I really like this its something I can safely take out, I'm a happy bunny

ps: soz about the pics .. Im trying out some new photography gear I picked up yesterday .. and I'm not sure how to use it to its best advantage yet :)

Nice very nice can see another purchase coming on good review mate thanks

Sorry about the pics? They're bloody great @ZT! A really well put together write up my friend. I personally find the eBaron dripper too airy (it has 4 air holes where it meets the Provari) so the ability to alter that on the Killer sounds perfect. Taking it to show us at Bolton I hope? ;)

Excellent review ZT . I think you just tipped me over the edge and convinced me to buy one.

How hot/cool is the vapour out of it?
