That's what I did Friday. Wasn't keen on the vape though but I might have had too much cotton in it or something.

ok I wasnt sure on it with all that bending cotton around different wick holes wasnt sure how it would wick, the cotton one I did yesterday is still in vapes lush, cotton was fairly loose from teasing it into two, fingers crossed you get a positive answer as to wether its for you or not today mate.

For ref was a 14guage blunt needle there just over 2mm 2.11 5 wraps of .32 coil has settled at 0.86

powforthewow gunky :)

It's all coiled up and working. Did a combination of diagonal coil and roballan's wick at .8ohms. It was much easier without the ceramic so cheers to MrbhPiggy for that one.

glad you got it sorted mate, is it a keeper now?

Not sure yet but probably.

It's a lovely thing but I'm not sure I like the drip tip and the way it vapes. If I can get used to the drip tip and get the combination of air flow and juice control how I'll like it then definitely. It's getting better with some tinkering so I'll give it a week and see how it goes.

Sorry to jump in and reignite an old thread but I got my rose today and I just want to say how impressed I am with it. I know some of you here had a few probs but for me personally I got it going straight away. Micro coil and cotton. Simply amazing vape. Yes it's pricey but I believe it's worth the money. Love it.

Late to the party as usual.

Just got one of these yesterday thanks to the evil man that is ElsaBubs.

I am usually a cotton builder through and through, but having watched a few vids today of cotton and silica builds, I think that silica looks easier.

Just wondering, for those of you that have kept them, what builds did you find the best? Ceramic in or out? Cotton or Silica?

I usually like around 1.2 - 1.6 ohms so would be particularly interested in people who have built around that point.

Cheers.

I've only used cotton in mine. .35 kanthal 10wraps round a 2mm drill bit giving me 1.6 ohms. Ceramic in. I use a thick piece of copper wire (about 1.5mm ish) that fits between the channels to place the coil and locate it.

Cleaned it out last night and while it was drying, I used my kayfun on the same build. It made me realise why I have only been using the rose since I got it two weeks ago. Outstanding for flavour. You will love it.

Had my Rose for a couple of weeks now. Love it. Not so much at first, but I think I'm getting better with the builds and it's quickly rising in my esteem.

I tried it first with silica and ekowool, since I have quite a bit lying around and people kept saying it works great with it. Which is does, but, in the end I went back to cotton and it's working much, much nicer for me. Right now I have a twisted 28 gauge coil in there at a shade over 1ohm and it's lovely. A nice, mellow vape - which is what I prefer in my tanks. I do want to give dual coil a go though, that'll be the next build~

Also may need to get my hands on a stumpy kit at Vapefest, just to have the option to make it a little shorter...
