What's new

royal mail and posting second hand mods

I always say "electronic cigarette parts, no batteries, no liquid, no glass".

Never had a problem..

Trying to post e-liquid is the real struggle.

Glass items are allowed (but excluded from insurance), should be marked fragile. A tank glass should pose no problems whatsoever and doesn't need a fragile stamp.

Liquid is fine too, if in glass should be marked fragile. I suppose the occasional undertrained counter dolly might view it as "dangerous goods" if you tell them there's nicotine in there... I've had no issue posting juice.

I never really thought about it but we appear to be quite lucky with our mail staff around here - don't even get issues with Hermes or yodel either :18:

Your in the minority. I'm banned from my closest one after arguing the toss.
I tried about six locally, including a main branch and all rejected any batteries and liquids containing nicotine.
Yep, I know the rules. I've printed them and taken them to the post womble. He was the one that banned me.
I now either drive across town to west swindon and list as car parts or get daughter no 2 to take them locally and list them as CAR PARTS.

Atty: "It's a housing for a vaporising heater unit". Blank look. "Plumbing parts". Ok.

Regulated mod: "It's an electronic controller for a vaporising heater unit". Blank look. "Plumbing parts". Ok.

Mech mod: "It's a mechanical switch for a vaporising heater unit". Blank look. "Plumbing parts". Ok.

Coils: "It's a heating element for a vaporising heater unit". Blank look. "Plumbing parts". Ok.

Juice: "It's something that goes inside a vaporising heater unit". Blank look. "Plumbing parts". Ok.

Am I the only one who feckin well hates the invasion of privacy? I just lie to them on principal now. It's everywhere. In the bank 'What's your pin number? What's your address? '' etc and you just give out the info in front of every Tom Dick & Mugger listening in. I recently withdrew £1500 and she counted out every note twice in a loud voice before asking if I wanted an envelope. I said I want a feckin body guard to get me out of town. At the GP the receptionist is like 'What's wrong with you?'' I just feel like gobbing in their eye saying 'None of yer damn business'.

I just tell them they are etched glass panels
never get any problems
and I always get a fragile sticker placed on it
not that it makes any diffrence

At the GP the receptionist is like 'What's wrong with you?'' I just feel like gobbing in their eye saying 'It might be aids I don't know, I'll come back in 6 months and you can tell me'

If the liquid bottle has a hazard warning on it they won't let you post it.

I asked if it would be OK if I just removed the label.

"I'll have to ask my manager."

And you're exactly the type of customer I couldn't be fucked with when I worked in a bank. Don't want to answer any security questions but demanding you should have your money because its yours :D
