Hi potv's

So I've been vaping on my cool fire iv plus with isub tank for around 3 months now and the coils are doing my head right in!!! After 3 to 4 days of use with a brand new coil it's like every other toke I take is a burnt dry hit. I've tried different wattage, air flow, higher/lower pg/vg liquids, re-wicking the coils myself and nothing seems to improve.

So my question is would a RTA solve this problem??? And if so which would be best???

I usually go for higher vg liquids as I love the cloud production.

I had the coolfire 4 and used a Billow v2 on it. looked good, 5ml capacity but more suited to 60vg juice. max i could push it was 40 watts but gave very good cloud production and flavour.

Thanks tabs I'll look into it... I'm mixing my own liquids at the minute just trying a few things out but mainly they are a high vg like 60 or 70

Sticking a pin through the cotton on them coils realy helps stoping dry hits am getting 3 weeks out of a coil now

Second that, used a small needle on mine, just be careful not to push the wick out the other side and prime that coil right up.

Pin through the cotton on a stock coil helps wicking a lot. Rewicking completely with a more sensible amount of cotton works well too.

Not had that problem with Innokin coils up to 70VG on my CF4plusses and have used 80VG occasionally but wasn't getting enough clouds or flavour. Bought a Stentorian Steam Engine which is better with high VG, its coils have four wicking holes where the Innokin coils have only two. It was cheaper than my iSub S or iSub Apex. The Stentorian coils a tad more pricey but they seem to last longer and get less fouled by strong flavours probably because the tank has a liquid flow control. I'm sure there are other tanks that will work well too. I tend to use the Innokin tanks for 50/50 juice or up to 70 when I'm out and about cos the Stentorian clouds seem to scare people (not kidding).

I never really had any problems with the Innokin coils when I was using them, they're certainly far better than the Joyetech Cubis coils.
If you want an RTA the one I would go for would be the Geek Vape Griffin. I love mine, its super easy to build on, great airflow, amazing taste. The only downside is it only has a 3.5ml juice capacity but that's to be expected with such a huge build deck.

I second the Griffin... Anything with a decent sized build deck is going to be good. The Griffin is a great tank, the only thing that lets it down the air and juice flow adjustment is very loose, pretty simple fix though
