Hello

So, 48 hrs on my pv (see, I've got the lingo down) and a couple of observations / embarrassing mistakes so far.

The most embarrassing / frightening / irritating one was this. I was at a bbq last night, proudly showing off my ego-t to a couple of mates. They asked me how it worked. I told them there was a battery and a vapouriser. I tried to unscrew the battery and managed to undo the tank and all of my precious eliquid poured onto the table in front of me. My back up hasn't arrived yet, no extra juice with me, lots of people smoking analogues. Nightmare. There was a couple of drops of eliquid left after the escape and I paced myself and then left early. Party pooper maybe, but, the temptation to smoke old school was pretty high.

First silly question, it would seem that my ego-t isn't actually standard. The nice guy in the shop in Birmingham (vapedaddy.co.uk) sorted me out with a kanga tank I think - can anyone confirm this - it has markings up to 2.4ml if you hold it battery down and upto 3.0ml battery up. Am I a modder and didn't know it? Did vapedaddy sort me right out or is this standard for ego-t's?

Second quesiton, when do I charge it up? I didn't think I was getting a propper hit this afternoon and thought that maybe I had got used to it, I charged it and it was way stronger again. Is this normal, or do I have to fully dispense the battery first? Battery says ego-t on it and it is 1100 of those things.

Thanks for replying in advance - I really am a bit of a novice at all this, a novice vaper but still a non smoker!

ooh yeah, my other question was this.

This 5 clicks to turn it on and off. Does it make a big difference, I tend to take a couple of hits every minute or so and then put it down, do I have to turn it on and off every time, or doesn't it really matter? More of a safety thing if it's in your bag or something.

Thanks
Jon

Having had a couple of evods un screw on me leaving juice everywhere when removing them I now hold them upside down when taking them off, saves spilling valuable juice everywhere.

The 5 clicks is so you don't keep firing it in your pocket/bag etc, not necessary after each vape.

Aaah.. you broke your cherry.. so to speak. The inevitable lapful/tableful/fistful of liquid happens to all of us sooner or later. ;)

Does the tank look like this? :

Or this? :

Or totally different? if you could post a photo it would help to identify it.

Rechargeable batteries have a 'life expectancy'... sort of. After they've been recharged a certain amount of times, they begin to lose capacity and don't hold charge as well as they do when new.

Probably best to have a spare battery, use one battery until the charge runs out then switch to the spare and charge up the first one whilst using the spare. When the spare runs out of charge, swap to the first one again and charge up the spare... rinse and repeat.

That's my take on it anyway. ;)

The 1100 on the battery refers to the charge capacity.. 1100 milliamp hours or mah for short. The higher the number, the more capacity the battery has and the longer it should last between recharges.

Hey thanks for replies.

Yeah tank looks like the first one. What is it?

Glad I'm not the only one to spill the juice! Upside down it is from now on in.

Does battery life fade from first use to emptying every time you use it?

I've also had some liquid come through to my mouth a couple if times. What could be the cause of this?

i've only been vaping for about 3 month so not exactly expert myself but nobody answered you so thought i would chime in :).
first tank is a kanger T3 as the picture says, some batteries will produce a lower voltage the more they drain and some will keep producing the same voltage until they die, when i get juice coming through the tip its usually because i've got a bit of juice in the centre post when filling up, also i find if i have a quite full cartomiser in my pocket getting swished around bits of juice manage to get into the centre post which will cause a gurgle sound and possibly juice coming up into the tip

if your anything like me , ive been vaping nearly a year and the schoolboys errors always spring up every now and then.

i was just playing with a cartotank this morning . forgot that id taken the locking ring off( this holds the cartomizer in place)

and tried to pull my drip tip ( mouthpiece , one different devices this is detacheable and replaceable, your T3 is fixed i believe)

low and behold , the carto came out of the tank and all the juice( full tank too :'( ) fell out of the tank and onto the floor.
thank god for laminated flooring otherwise my wife would have killed me.

in short , acidents happen regardless of experience , just make sure you have a couple spares handy so you arnt left without a vape when disaster strikes :)

I've been at it seriously for 4 months - so still very much a learning curve. Got a new Kanger Evod last week, ran out of battery in the car yesterday evening, unscrewed it while driving to fit a new battery and unscrewed the head instead - fluid all over the steering column & wheel!! Still not got used to the upside down battery replacement yet (CE4s are enclosed units, so had no problem before).

I quickly bought a 2nd ego battery - both 900mah I think - then broke one and got another 1100mah. I've had both for most of the 4 months and battery life isn't noticeably reduced yet. I have 2 more on order, one ego twist and one teeny tiny 450mah (along with some teeny tiny 1ml clearomisers) - these will be for discreet vaping (work/flights). I also have some more Evods and a protank winging their way to me (I love the evod so much, I'm terrified of putting any juice in that might rot the plastic tank, so the protank is to go wild with the flavours).

Definitely get another battery - I was smoking the analogues so much more than I needed to when my only battery needed a recharge.

I always have a spare, charged battery with me, a spare clearomiser and a bit of juice, so nothing is likely to leave me vapeless. It's also handy to have some spare clearomisers if you use very different flavour types (minty, fruity, coffee etc). I use the same one when changing from one fruit to the next - and will overlap with flavours that don't clash, but I have a dedicated clearomiser for the infrequent bash at spearmint.

You might find it's worth getting a few different clearomiser types (at least of the cheaper types) to find one you like and then get a few of your favourite - I've just discovered fasttech, and though the international delivery is quite slow, the prices are fantastic and it's free P&P - so could be a good place to go if you want to try a range of clearomisers.

One thing I find is that I save so much on the fags, I can spoil myself with a clear conscience on new kit (I make my own juice, so that probably costs my about 80p-£1 per week).
