Wanted a few opinions on this. Dont want to out or expose them just yet, But Im sure some will figure it out from recent posts.. So during the great pre TPD week, (Already miss how buzzing the forum was!!) I like many, made quite a lot of orders! Now as of now everything I bought has been received & im pleased with.
One order though, Had an item missing.. The vendor I bought from has a £25 minimum free delivery thingy going on, My total was £24.99, Cool - I'll just add one of these cheap juices to my order to tip it over. Is this illegal? Is this not usual practice within online shopping? Because its something I do regularly. Why pay X amount on postage when you can buy an item for X amount which will cover shipping costs? Anyway.
Parcel is received about 5 days after purchasing, All is well as I got the items I really wanted but the add on item wasnt there.. Hmm, thats wierd. No biggie I'll shoot them a Facebook message. They respond - Apologising for the missing item and promising a refund. Result I thought, The usual pain free issue solving im used to from vape/juice vendors!
5 days pass, No sign of it being processed.. So I send them a message via PayPal as that usually speeds things up, I wasnt threatening, I didnt open a case or grievance just simple message saying, 'Refund For missing items for order number #XXXXXX'. Their response?
'Hello, We wont be giving you a refund for this item because you only added it to your cart for free delivery. It was out of stock but what we sent you was under £25 so you really should have paid £4.50 delivery, Thanks.'
I responded, Yes the items I received were under your free shipping threshold, But what I had PAID for wasnt, So how are you attempting to penalize me for your error? I am a customer. I placed an order for said items, You werent able to fulfill it.. You then knowingly sent out an unfulfilled order.. You waited until I noticed to then admit that yes, You sent out an unfulfilled order and agreed you had made a mistake but once PayPal where involved you have flipped the story and now are are playing the victim.
Funny fact, I said to them, Another vendor would have replaced the item or given me the option to buy something else even if it meant me paying the difference - but you guys chose to send out an unfulfilled order. They lied responded with 'Why would we message you if we had no items to replace it with at that price, We did message you when it was time to fulful your order!' A huge fat LOL. Oh the contradiction! Complete and utter lie. I have asked directly and told PayPal to ask them for proof of this as I can provide screenshots as proof. They dont seem the smartest bunch, I neatend up their responses which where originally written in '17 year old text speech', And with their clutching at straws responses Im intrigued to see where they go with it..
Didnt want too, But their lying & contradictions have forced me to escalate to a claim & involve PayPal. Why initally respond amicably and jolly to then later flip the script? Were you hoping Id forget? Common practice you usually getaway with? Why blatently falsify messages when its so easy for me to screenshot the truth? Doesnt run with me unfortunately. Might seem like overkill but Im a huge advocate of not rolling over & getting mugged off.. Too many people let it slide and these vendors/sellers think its okay to pull fast ones as most people forget, or dont feel comfortable to query. Regardless if you had a sale on.. Regardless if it was the deal of the century.. Regardless if items were added to hit free postage, Its a simple process - We pay for something you give us that something, You cant? Then give me back my money matey. 2p 2quid 2grand I want my change back thank you. If I wanted to donate to you I would
