I really loved the gen mod topped freemax mesh pro. but I had trouble with the batterys. is it safe to leave the batterys in as long as its off? and if I remove them how can I avoid chipping the batterys? I have to say I love the gen. should I risk it and get another? but it was expensive buying new batterys all the time.

because I take them in and out for safety. because of a scare I had with a past mod. the one that melted in handbag. because I forgot to turn it off. it scared me.

You don’t need to take them out, if you remember to turn it off when you put it in your bag.

Oh I see.
I'm guessing it fired in your bad and didn't cut out.
I would turn the mod off when carrying it in your bag for safety rather than taking the batteries in and out every time.
If your batteries do get worn, ie the wrap gets damaged, you can rewrap the batteries rather than buying new ones

I think damage to battery wraps is, inevitable. It doesn't mean you need a new battery's though. Fogstar, 18650 and indeed most vape shops sell battery wraps at about 20p a pop. I'm sure theres more than one thread that will take you through this simple fix, on POTV. Or am I misunderstanding the term " chip", perhaps?

Also if its the plastic wrap on the batteries getting chipped you can rewrap them. A pack of 25 wraps are £1.49 at fogstar, they will even give you them free if you have ordered batteries from them before (just pay postage or ad on to a order)

Put a ribbon in the battery compartment long enough to hold both ends & pull. Or put sellotape around the middle of the cells leaving a tab to pull on.

I broke my last gen. the ribbon came out and I superglued it. and the batterys wouldn't sit right. instead of doing what you said. lesson learnt.
