Sig 20 recalled?

I've seen nothing other than what everyone else on this thread has, but I was put off buying one because of the potential issue. And have you been away KMS? Thought you'd dropped off the planet!

Ok.. after writing my last post, my button has seized on .. firing constantly.
I bought this new head as I had already tried to modify the first one I had and made a bit of an arse of it.. Ironically the first one I had now works perfectly and the new one has seized.. Time to mod it too.. If you don't mind messing about with it, it's not so difficult to make safe.
I know you shouldn't have to r3eapir a new piece of kit, but it's probably easier than the faff of sending it back.

I have had an e-mail from the vendor where I bought the 20 from, saying a new button/switch will be sent out on Monday and that he would be doing it off his own back and out of the kindness of his heart. I have absolutely no reason whatsoever to disbelieve this however.........many years ago I fell into a 2,000 gal tank of pure cynicism and I reckon I swallowed a gallon or three.

The little voice who lives in the depths of my head somewhere has whispered that he wouldn't be at all surprised if a few UK vendors got together and decided maybe that it would be a lot cheaper replacing all of the buttons/switches they sold than face just one court case for damages should the worst case scenario happen.

Now obviously I am unable to repeat this as being gospel as it's only hearsay, so I won't.

Fair play to the vendor for the proactive approach to resolving the issue.

This new switch I'm told whit prevents any possibility of a short and also comes with a switch locking mechanism. Now that I'll be looking forward too as that wandering switch is the only downer I've found with the 20.
