just added some pics to above post.

i used to use host pics on photobucket but all them free hosters are getting greedy and starting to charge and if you dont pay you lose everything so sadly the hosting option ill never use again.
also resizing directly on phone frees up much needed space.
neigbour asked me to look at her phone as she couldnt open apps or make calls anymore. turned out she had used up 63gb of space saving pics and videos and her phone just froze up. resizing and then removing originals it freed up 45gb and phone worked perfectly again.

are you using phone pics and then sending to pc to upload or uploading direct from phone.
pain i know but mine are 3-6mg each from phone and only need to be 2-300kb for a decent quality pic.

check app store for Photo Compressor. blue bacground white square and heart top right. its free to download and use.
open app> compress photos> tick to compress then go back to picture folder and there will be two of same pic, use latest pic to upload and job done. 9.47mg into 522kb
ive tried the app to remove original but doesnt seem to want to do that.

Are you sure the icon hasn’t changed? I can’t find it

If using windows 11 its easy.

open the picture up by clicking on it.

Right click on the image

Select resize and use the slide bar.
