A suggestion for this RBA if I may... Cut the wick a bit shorter so that the channels are essentially free of wick and the cotton ends at the bottom of the deck. Spread it out there. Wicks a whole lot better that way. It's a bit counter-intuitive and not my idea either (saw Wendy Vapes do it first), but works a treat.

Nice to see peoples RBA builds and what's working for them!
I'd tried 28 AWG SS316L in 2.5mm and 2mm diameters,(~0.7-0.8 ohm ish) but it didn't feel like the wicking was keeping up despite being careful not to overwick. That was only on 2 power dots /13W. I might have to try @lucifah 's tip to trim the wick to the deck, not the bottom of the channels.
I went back to 28 AWG Kanthal and did a 2mm diameter coil, which is about 1.1 ohm.
That seems to be vaping very nicely indeed so far, but if it starts playing up I'll try the different wicking method.

As the 0.6 mesh coil was getting a bit manky, I attempted to dismantle it for science. It was a PITA to get apart. It seems a waste of materials for a consumable item though, gonna have to get another RBA head I think.

I have put in a 26g 2mm coil in this morning, much easier to work with and it actually looks very neat! It comes out at just above 1ohm and I put the wick on the ledge above the wicking channels mush like the old kayfuns and it's working a treat, very pleased with myself!!

I do like the fact you can have multiple rba's coiled and wicked ready.
Rather than thinking "ball's, this needs rewicking" you can just swap it it out in seconds the same as a stock coil.
Tis the easy life.

On that style of deck, I reckon you'd want the legs at the bottom of the coil, not the top.
