I have a Nord which I use at work, I DTL 20mg nic salts with the 0.6 coil and never had any issues.

Stick at the 20mg if it's helping you stay off the cigs.

I think "big time" is pushing it ever so slightly...

I believe most 50ml shortfills are mixed to be "as intended" with one nic shot added to take it up to 60ml.

Most of the one shots I've seen recommend 15-20%, so let's say that a shortfill is mixed to contain 15% flavourings when made up to 60ml. That's 9ml of flavourings in carrier.

Add another nic shot to take it to 70ml. Still got that 9ml, but it's diluted so no longer at 15%.

That 9ml now constitutes 13% of the final amount.

15% Vs 13%? Big time change?


Try making up some orange squash with those ratios and see if you can tell the difference...

3ml at 20mg/ml - 60mg of nicotine available to you (you won't absorb it all).

Average standard cigarette contains 12mg of nicotine. But there's more wastage because they continue to burn while you're not puffing, and generally a bit is left when you stub it out.

So, you're basically getting through the same amount of nicotine as 5 cigarettes... Taking wastage into account, let's say 8-10.

You're actually using less nicotine than you were when smoking.

Of course, chuff through that 3ml in ten minutes and you'll probably get a decent headrush

I would give Mouth To Lung another try, it's similar style to smoking a ciggie, draw vapour into your mouth then inhale, exhale and you will be fine with 20mg, I use the Nord coil for MTL, if I try them DTL they are too strong and makes me cough.

For DTL I would go for the 10mg option but I still think you should give MTL a try, I wish I had that option when I first started.

Nic Salts in shortfills are a bit pointless you will end up with 3mg and would need to vape more and will likely find your craving is higher.

I’ve ordered another Smok as a back up in case this one breaks or runs out while I’m unable to charge so will try the mtl again when it comes. Thanks.

Won’t work like that I’m afraid. If you have a 50ml shortfill and add 20ml of 20mg it will only make a solution of roughly around 6%.

If the 20mg is working I’d stick with that for now. We all react differently to nicotine and if you’re not getting any unpleasant effects then do t worry.

The Nic shot is flavoured with the same flavour as the shortfill so it shouldn’t dilute the flavour?

The yogi shortfills say they are super concentrated and advise not to vape them unless you add a Nic shot. Plus the 20mg 10mls I’m already using are the same flavour as the shortfill so I’m pretty sure it won’t dilute the flavour too badly.
