I'm a cloudchaser and want to make bigger airholes in my scar. I tried drilling into the too cap but its like 3mm thick stainless steel and I just can't get a drill through it, I've made the tiniest little dent in it and it just won't bite.

Due to the pretty unique airholes in it already (1 airhole that splits and feeds directly under the coils) I imagine this would be pretty hard to drill out bigger.

Has anybody added bigger airholes to their scar and if so how?

Just had a google's eye view of that dripper, seems to be a common issue with lack of airflow though one dude says he drilled the cap using a hand-drill! That then reminded me to ask, what are you using to drill with as to get through hard metals, you'll need a slow running drill.

Mains power drill, old black and decker job, years old and trusted, variable speedbased on pressure applied to the trigger.

Centre punched with a nail, but I still cant get a deep enough puncture for the bit to stay in place.

You need to cultivate a friendship with someone who owns a column or tower drill. Trying to drill a hole in a cylindrical metal object with a hand drill is an exercise in frustration!

Do you have a vice? (Booze, drugs and a liking for porn dont count)

I drill it out with the smallest drill first then gradually used a larger one. I drilled one o the scars where the coil sits n it works fine. Use good drill bits n a vice

A nail won't be anything like strong enough, bit like trying to use melted chocolate to hold hot water. The very least you'll need to make an impression is a tool steel grade punch with a sharp point. As for the actual drilling, you need something that has variable speed...I spent 3 hours trying to drill a 1.2 (ish) hole through a dripper cap with a Dremel-clone @ 12,000 RPM,got my variable speed drill out & the same hole size took longer to get the drill out the cupboard than drill the hole.

Was considering picking one of these up as they are only a tenner. Are they any good?

they are good but do need bigger holes as above i would drill it out with a small bit and keep graduating up half a mil or a mil and use decent drill bits they cost a bit more but are worth it.

Honestly by an igo w 4 and enjoy your clouds. I have the scar and though its great little dripper its not a cloud chaser..Igo is a dream to build I have micro dragon coils and its vape heaven and not even drilled out
