What's new

SMPL clone or zombi clone

I'm familiar with ohms law and have been reading up about battery safety and amp age and the draw from the battery, starting to make sense of it all after a while, don't plan on building much lower than 0.2, which if I'm correct is within the battery's safe amp draw?

You may be right I will let you do the sums. If they say it is safe you will be good.
For me 0.2 on a mech would be too hot.
You can work out the watts and if that is the sort of watts you would fire such a coil on a regulated device then each to their own.

At the moment ive got a .27 build on my ipv pro at 55 watts, probably just gonna experiment around when I get my mech and see what works best :)

Would I be right in thinking that if I was to get a dual box mod like a cherry bomber if I had two battery's with a 20amp continuous draw it would double to 40amps? Which would then allow for lower resistance builds?

You certainly can draw more amps, but I will leave it to others to say whether it is double.
People do not all believe the same thing and I have not had to sort out fact from misinformation as I do not have a dual mech.

Can anyone shed any light on this? If the continuous draw doubles then surely that would make using a dual box safer than a single battery mech?

I believe a dual box would be safer dependant on wether it was parallel or series. One gives 4.2v and double battery life, the other gives 8.4v but the runtime of a single battery I believe. I'm not that well read up on dual mechs but I believe that's how they work. Just not certain which one is which.

Nemesis would be a great start for anyone new to tube mech mods. They're the most popular tube out there, and for good reason too! Plus as oldhippydude said you can get spares for them if needed, plus upgrade the switch if needed.

As far as mechanical box mods go, you can double the amp. Parallel is what you want for doubling the amps, remember though, you'll shorten the usage when pulling more amps, so you may need to grab a few batteries.

Samsung 25R's are awesome, all I use. 22Amp continuous discharge, I would give yourself some good headroom though! Running single tube, I wouldn't push below .3 ohms, on a dual parallel box mod, you be able to safely push .13 ohms. £9.99 (Inc P&P) HERE.

I'll keep my thoughts to myself on running ridiculously low ohm builds, as everyone has there own preferences! Just play safe bud! :)

EDIT: The LG's I heard are good, but I'm not 100% sure what the accurate amp readings are, maybe someone else can confirm that for you.
