Snake Oil tasting funny (bad)

I have noticed with my snake oil that i use solely in my protank that it went a funny shade of brown, and was tasting funny, i replaced the coil after washing the tank and all was good!
Dont forget it is steeped with a tear from Chuck Norris and can be highly volatile after a while
