So i built my first coil...

So today I built my first coil. I had tried some premade ones but to be honest I wasn't overly impressed. So i took some 30 awg kanthal, wound 9 wraps, made him up a wee friend and installed him on my El diablo. It's currently sitting at 1.51 ohms, I'm vaping at 22 watts and the clouds are nice and thick. I had to pack this thing with cotton because I've found that the El diablo has a tendency to leak if you don't have a fair wedge of cotton in there to stem the flow. My only issue is the taste is kinda muted. Would that be because I have so much cotton in there or like pre-made coils is there a bedding in period in which the flavour improves? I probably should have taken pictures but I was that keen to try it out i just banged it all together. I also usually sub ohm and my first reaction was to build a zero point something coil but the clouds on this build are amazing without the need to drop it down.

Sweet man it's a good feeling enjoy! Don't think I could bring myself to buy a stock coil now since I started building
