Sonic steeping

Hi all
I've recently purchased a sonic cleaner to clean my vaping gear which if any of you don't have on I say get one coz you will be amazed how clean and shiny it gets them. Now I know some you you use a sonic cleaner to steep your diy juice and I have read you can bring the steeping time of a custard for 2 week down to 3 day. Whether it work is a matter of opinion.

So do any of you use a sonic cleaner to steep there juice and if so you you give me some pointers on where to start. How long do you put it in for? Does it ha e to. E in a certern container?? does it need a day steep in a cupboard afterwards ???
I know alt of questions but I just want to get it right

This was the last conversation we had on it a few weeks ago A lot of good tips and advice in there.

Not a bad bit of kit, but the only downside is the longest time it runs is 8 minutes, so I have to press the button every 10 minutes (to give it 2 minutes resting as well when it gets warm). I have found a bigger one though that goes up to half an hour, so I may be investing in that soon.

As for the results, I love it, for creams and custard flavours it is absolutely amazing how much it speeds up the process. My first custard I made it was a week before the colour started to change, with this thing it was about an hour. I read somewhere about an hours total time in a cleaner is around a weeks steep time. Then I'd leave it over night after and it's good to go.

Somebody posted in the past week about a glass bottle shattering in one.Only case I have heard of so imagine there must have been a crack or other flaw in the bottle, but worth knowing about.

You may have the one I got, I got mine for £20 from Lidl or Aldi as it was on Discount. Mine technically has a 10 minute setting, but it has a funny icon next to it as well and it's advertised as 8 minutes, so don't know what the 10 minute one actually does.

Thanks this is worth knowing about but I think you may be right in there being a crack in the bottle as this would send sound waves through it causing it to shatter. I clean all my tanks and some have a think glass tank and they have been fine

I do glass bottles, the smaller the better, for a few hours in the ultrasonic cleaner. Seems to work great for most stuff although I wouldn't be able to give you a conversion factor from mins in the cleaner to days in the cupboard (mines a 50W cleaner anyway, think yours is 30W so it wouldn't help even if I could).

One thing though, FlavourWest Mt Dew, and Joosy Fruit by Tasty Puffs. Both of them, when mixed in the ultrasonic cleaner separated out leaving a layer of vile paint stripper like shit in the top of the bottle. That ruined the mix, and never happened with natural steeping.

This is the one and most likely the same as yours. Mine too has like a star or fan symbol next to it and then 3 other setting. The two with the symbol next to the time on mine are just to say they are special setting for a quick flash clean for 90 secs if you have just cleaned something and need a light clean to remove a tiny bit more to finish it and the other 600 secs is its maximum for a heavy clean

I find that quite disturbing- 1 that some juices might have such shit as you say.
2 that you are happy to vape it as long as it does not separate out

Yes mate thats the one i have ill use the 10 minute setting from now on then lol
