Sonic steeping

That....looks a hell of a lot like mine... lol

Yup, it's exactly the same. Combination of a lack of product description from Aldi and slightly misleading one from Lakeland means I paid double for the same item.

But then I opened the box to find no instructions and the CD holder was missing. I contacted them with the intention of simply returning it for a refund then ordering a JPL and they offered 10 quid store credit for the "inconvenience" all told I reckon I can call it a win.

Did a batch of juices in yesterday, 15x8m cycles, the water warms quite a bit but I was playing destiny all day so was quite distracted giving it plenty of cooling time.

I'm going to run a little experiment this month. One bottle mixed normally and left to steep in my cupboard following all the best practice, and on the final day of a two week steep slap one in the sonic for 2 hours then compare. Maybe a combo one where it gets a headstart or quick finish in the sonic too. I'd really like to get a proper understanding of the benefits and possible shortfalls other than single day steeping.

So I've tried two of the liquids I sonic steeped on Monday. Bearing in mind that they were flavours I've never tried before so had no point for comparison and they're the first I've done in a sonic I was rather impressed.

Both are 80% VG @ about 8mg nic and tested in my plume veil in a 0.5ohm dual setup.

1: Inawera Cactus approx 2% > just had to try this. Inawera stuff is really concentrated so I resisted the urge to go to the top end of the recommended amount to use, really nice rounded flavour. I like my flavours to really "pop" so I'll be trying this again at 3% could be a good all day vape for me.
2: Flavour West Chai Tea approx 12% > this was one of "WTF" moments where you click add to cart out of curiosity more than anything else. This did really well in the sonic, the flavour is massive, needs taking down a notch, maybe some sweetener too as its on the bitter side.

There's a couple of more normal fruity flavours in that batch so will get a better idea tonight.

So far though, I'd say sonic steeping works, you might get a better result from natural steeping with plenty of shaking and breathing going on, but if need a liquid that's ready in hours rather weeks, it does a good job.
