Speeding up steeping?

I've just gotten into mixing my own liquid, and I'd like to try a few flavours - The problem is that I really don't want to end up waiting several weeks just to find out if a recipe is any good post-steep.

I've done blast steeping using warm water before, with varying results, but it despite it speeding things up, results were inconsistent, and I'd be sitting there swapping the bottle in and out of the water to shake periodically - are there any alternative methods that are more reliable, faster, or require less constant attention?

Ive heard microwave for a matter of 2-3 seconds, however I don't own a microwave so cant comment! Raguri has I believe and set it alight nearly?

Between me and you I think he just wants some firemen to come out ;-)

5 seconds on 750w for a 10ml bottle. 7 for 30.

But I don't do it purely for steeping, I do it so the flavours mix in 80 20 by to pg mix ;)

I always hot water steep any new mixes especially VG heavy ones as once warm the VG goes much thinner, then shake like mad before normal steeping..

On larger mixes (90ml+) I have tried Lordys frother method, not sure that it actually speeds anything, definitely does NOT speed up steeping Vanilla Custard.. that still takes at least month..

5 seconds in the microwave is the same as hot water steeping..

I do know several vendors do ultrasonic steeping to "emulsify" the mix and blend in the flavourings. same theory as microwave but less harsh

I'm running a 30PG/70VG mix - no adverse effects whatsoever? Is it safe to nuke them in plastic bottles, or do you use glass?

I'd use glass. I've killed more than one plastic bottle in the microwave.

Sent from a phone. Probably.

Direct sunlight makes a huge difference in a very short space of time..2-4 hrs gave me the equivalent colour change to a 4-5 day steep..
Vapercaper advised this so i've no doubt it works.

I'm in no way experienced enough to say how much is enough to start degrading nic content though.

I use the frother method as well...makes sound sense but as said already..custard's a stubborn bugger.

Not keen on the micro myself as things go wrong very quickly, once liquid heats up it aint cooling down in a hurry.

no expert here but colour change is down to nic. degrading due to UV
