Hi guys,

I used to vape about 2 years ago but quit but went back to smoking. I was buying RTAs and always ran into problems with leaks. I even tried making my own flavours but no matter what I tried, I always ended up with a wet feet flavour :(

I am looking to get back into vaping again but I am undecided on which kit to buy. I don't want to break the bank so my budget for a beginners kit will be about £40.

The mechanical squonkers scare me, so I am looking for a regulated model instead.

2 squonkers I have found are.

iJoy Capo Squonker Kit £25

Luxotic £38

Which of these would you recommend or not (not everything I have read about this paints a pretty picture) or do you know of any another kits.

I've got both of these and think the Luxotic is the better of the 2.

I don't have the Luxotic, but I do have the iJoy Capo, works as it should, and is solidly made of all metal case.

@Hairy Onion
If you want a dual battery one check this offer out, only £34 including two 20700 batteries, and postage !!!
I've got one on order, should be here today / tomorrow.

Luxotic isn't regulated, it has some protection from reverse polarity, short, too low ohm & is limited to 80w. Still a very good starter squonker though. If you're prepared to learn ohm's law & battery limitations then the Geekvape Athena kit is brilliant at around £25 but it is a mech. It does have a locking fire button to prevent misfires.

@Hairy Onion Just a note of caution, some people having leaking issues, inside the mod, with the Luxotic. I had two, one bit the dust leaking/autofiring sent it back for refund, second one leaking slightly but still working. If you google issues with Luxotic you will get info/background. It's unfortunate as it's a cracking little squonk.

I have already gone ahead and bought it. I have been using it for a week now. I just couldn't wait any longer.

So far it's working great without any problems.

If it does go bad I will send it back, I only use it in the evenings and maybe dont vape as much as others poeple here.

The auto firing scares me a little I will take the battery out at the end of the night when I am finished with it.

Thanks for the heads up and other suggestions.

hi bud, i owned the ijoy for over 1 year, it was ok but only for single builds, know the luxotic i love em & have 3 of them, had them quite sometime too & they all get used daily & so far touch wood no dreaded leaks.
