Hi there!

I've been mixing my own liquids for quite a while now, but my latest purchase surprised me. I bought a Project X concentrate. So I got my empty mixer bottle, added the concentrate, base and nicotine shot, shaked well and left for about a week. The usual drill. After 1 week, I opened my cupboard and found that my liquid didn't mix that well. There was a thin layer of the concentrate at the top, so I shaked it well again and left it for another 2 days. After 2 days, the layer was still there, although a bit thinner. If you shake the bottle it disappears completely, but if i leave the bottle in peace overnight i can still see the very thin layer at the top of my mix. I decided to shake it and try just a little bit, tastes ok, smells ok - everything seems ok overall. I'm still kinda worried about the layer, though - in another 2 days I suppose it should disappear completely, but the whole thing makes me uneasy. I've never had that problem before. Should I contact the manufacturer and try to get a refund, or is everything safe to vape in your opinion?

To be honest, it might just be different ingredients. I don't know if it's possible but it seems that the concentrate is PG based, so obviously more 'watery' than my 80/20 base - hence the layer at the top, it is just as if you poured a little bit of water into a bottle of oil.. I have to get home to check it, but i don't think there is a list of ingredients on the bottle. It definitely seems to be more runny than my usual ones..

Thanks for your help in advance and apologies for my English, it's not my native language.

That’s strange, pg wouldn’t float on the top of your 80/20, it should easily mix. Maybe there is a flavour ingredient in the concentrate that doesn’t mix easily? The later on the top, does it feel oily?

Thanks for the reply, zouzounaki. I will check the bottle once I'm home this evening, but i don't think there's anything listed. Bought it from BigJuice, the concentrate had 3 very positive reviews, noone mentioning any problems whatsoever. It does not feel oily, it just looks / feels like coloured water at the top, you just need to shake the bottle once or twice and it dissolves easily. I haven't noticed anything suspicious apart from the strange layer - looks, feels, tastes and smells ok. In fact, it is even delicious as decided to try a little bit to see what's going on. :( The bottle of concentrate itself looks fine as well, nice and clear.

PS. Nice cat!

does it taste of cinnamon, I had trouble a few years ago with that ingredient.

Your English is fine.

I've been mixing my own for a few years now and apart from cinnamon (only once though) never seen this happen. I would suggest an email to the company - better safe than sorry.

Liked the Stones with Brian!!

There could be oil in it, or it could be the result of oxygenation. This will reduce in time as the different constituents blend, which will explain why you're getting less each day.

If it goes completely I wouldn't worry about it. If it was oil, it would be there permanently.

Thanks, geordie12. :) I have checked the bottle, and I didn't notice the ingredient list, so here it is: "Contains: PG, Natural and Artificial Flavourings". So not really that helpful, all in all. I will email the company, thanks for your advice!

And the photo is David Bailey's, taken just a year or two before Brian's death, if I remember correctly. He has taken many wonderful shots of the whole band as well as iconic portraits of Mick. Since you like them, I thought you might enjoy these as well - from Stones 'French' period. What else there is to say... A great band, great stories, great pictures and memories : http://www.messynessychic.com/2014/12/23/then-and-now-the-rolling-stones-french-villa-of-debauchery/ :)

Cheers, Ment! I have taken a picture this morning, so here's what I'm dealing with:

In your experience, could this be the oxygenation? Thanks in advance for your help. :)
