The shops use little slip on covers for the drip tips that they keep in sterilising fluid so testing juice should be OK, if they aren't then A: Yuck & B: never get anything from there...

If I'm going to one of my local B&M stores I always take my own drip tip scavenged from an old CE5.

This is what I do. You can also buy the little condom type thingys that you can slip over a drip tip in the shop if you are worried that they may not have them.

I always carry one in my wallet in case I come across a B&M that I didn't know existed.
