Still a newbie and confused

Hello everyone.
I'm a little confused by the whole DTL and MTL thing. I've got a Smok R kiss which I like apart from the leaking when I use my favourite strawberries and cream, but not watermelon!!!!!
Because of the leaking, I've a Voopoo mod which I also believe is a DTL.

However, I also have a little Orion Q for work. The rhubarb and custard juice blew up the pod, (80/20) and I have just put in a 50/50 bubble gum from a 10ml freebie, and it seems a much harsher hit on my throat. Is that because of the Q being MTL? I'm totally confused. The smoothest seems to be the Smok.
Sorry for the long introductory post. I'm just very confused. Lol

You do not say what nic strength your juices are And I have no idea of your kit but generally
Higher nic juices have a harsher throat hit.
Vg is smoother than pg but pg carries flavour better.
Higher vg juices tend to be lower in nic and tend to be vaped with more power and with greater airflow. The extra airflow also smooths the vape though the extra power works in the opposite direction.
Vg is thicker so high vg juices will not work well on low power devices.
