For what it's worth, which is probably zip, since turning the temp down to 390F and keeping the wattage at 20 I haven't had one pulse or flutter. Single Coil build using ni200 with a 2,5 Coil at 0.12ohms

Very interesting actually. Turning the joules down did improve the flutter greatly. Still not a great vape though, especially when the D1 is producing hugely more vapour and flavour. I think my trusty and much loved STM has had its day. I shall remember it fondly.
Stop the bus! Got some 0.5 mm Ti today and just coiled the STM with a simple 5 wrap 2.25 mm spaced coil, coming in at 0.15 Ohms and my trusty friend has sprung back to life. No flutter, great vapour and flavour. My sincere apologies to it.
