Are you talking about a machine polish or a polish with a cape cod cloth? Because in the original post you made you said this.

Hi there brass stingray is brass plated and rubs off with cape cod cloths or even heavy general use and the copper black stingray is also copper plated and the logo will be cut into the black coating only and will be hard to read the word stingray.

I personally doubt someone would have sent you any mod just to polish with a cape cod cloth. If you machine polished it that is very different to saying polishing with cape cod cloths or heavy general use.

The Stingray I got from attack of the clones has been used everyday and polished with a cape cod cloth and no brass plating has rubbed off, that is not to say it won't in the future but I have a paps clone which is brass plated and it tarnishes in a different way and it won't clean up with the toothpaste and toothbrush method. The stingray does.

It is true not everything in a tobeco box is from tobeco. It is also true that not every post that every member makes is the strict truth either.

I am happy to be corrected if I have the wrong end of the stick but that is how it appears based on the evidence so far.

I don't think the stingray from attack of the clones is brass plated and I actually own it and I ordered it from there. Not just been given some clone from someone and told it was from attack of the clones. I would check a bit more than that before I posted something like...

im not sticking up for this comment...i can kinda see why it was made...

BUT....

have you ever had any dealings with Matt?.......most of us have....which is why your comment is getting jumped on.....there are a lot of great vendors on here and Matt is up there with the best if not THE best ...for me if he said it then its true

I have never had any dealings with matt or bought anything from mvapes and I am not connected to attack of the clones in any way I know as much (or as little) as anyone about them.

I just thought it was a dodgy thing to post, especially when it turned out that he probably hadn't just polished it with a cape cod cloth and definitely doesn't have any experience of 'heavy use'.

No problem with Matt or mvapes - just with the initial post.
