Yeah, I wasn't certain about this site but the prices were so good I took a gamble. I received my order the next day no probs. They also responded to my email very quickly. Who they are or what their story is, no idea!

Hi there brass stingray is brass plated and rubs off with cape cod cloths or even heavy general use and the copper black stingray is also copper plated and the logo will be cut into the black coating only and will be hard to read the word stingray.

Hi you will start with brass them end up with nickel plate then copper plate then solid brass tube, god knows why it is done like that as all three plates are very thin and it must have been more costly to plate than to just polish the original brass tube it is made from.
The down side is you cannot polish off just one layer to have say a copper stingray because the plating is so thin, even if you polish it right back down to the brass tube you loss the logos.
I know this because someone i know brought one and gave it to me to polish.
