Suggestions for new MTL tank? (upgrade from Nautilus X)

Thanks again for the suggestions. What I think I will do for now is buy either a Zenith or a Javcapour S22, then look into the whole re-buildable thing properly and invest in one of those at a later date.

Between the Zenith and the Jacvapour though, which should I go for? Am leaning towards the Zenith for now but could change my mind...

I would get the Zenith. The S22 is a great little kit and can withstand a few knocks. The coils do last forever but for me having used both the Zenith pips it to the post for flavour.
The Kroma/Zenith kit looks good.

I've just been reading up a bit on TC (after some advice on another thread re. ways to avoid burning coils), and noticed that the S22 has coils that support this but not the Zenith - just wondering, have you tried the S22 in TC mode, and is this maybe why the S22 coils last so long?

Zenith has SS TC coils coming before the end of the year, Phil said so last night.

Ah, good to know! Sounds like a Zenith it is then :)

(tho might need a new mod, apparently TC mode my istick TC40 doesn't work with SS)

yeah, I think almost all TC use is SS these days, I don't use anything else myself, it just makes more sense because it can be used in power mode too, which makes things much simpler.

I haven’t, but there is a lengthy thread about the S22 on the forum as quite a few of us tested these kits. Somebody will have and it is prob posted in there.

making the switch over to RTA's especially in a MTL setup would be really straight forward, you'd be using single wire builds and the wicking methods are nearly all straight forward, when even the finikie ones are supported by a wealth of knowledge on here for advice and endless build tutorials on youtube, hey you can even buy prebuilt MTL coils for your RTA if you dont want to wrap them yourself.

if you are dead sure on a stock coil setup i couldnt recommend the @JAC Vapour S22 enough and their coils will be getting birthday cards from the queen if they last much longer

I've had the S22 as well as the 24mm Zenith, before passing them on to my brother. He doesn't vape on anything else. You can't go wrong with either, to be honest, though personally I think the Zenith edges it for flavour. Its coils are cheaper and the drip tip is a 510, not proprietary. I'd go for Zenith over S22, though both are really good stock coil tanks.

So got a Zenith, had a it a few days now, and seems good - nice smooth vape, not necessarily more flavoursome than my previous tanks (Nautlus X, T20s, T18e) but very consistent, coil seems to wick faster than Nautilus X, and time will tell if coil life-span is better than other tanks.

HOWEVER... after several days of no problems, today, for no obvious reason, it started LEAKING big time - found quite a few threads with people with similar problems, tho the overall consensus seems to be it should be leak-free - have taken it apart, can't see anything wrong with o-rings, was definitely screwed together tight etc so don't know what's wrong, but it's a bit disappointing that I haven't had this problem with any other tank (save once with a dodgy pack of coils for the T18) and this tank is sold as leak-free... I guess it's possible there are some defective ones here and there? My only other though is maybe I've inadvertently loosened the base as I've been playing around with the air-hole settings a fair bit. Or just unlucky with bad coil?

Anyway, will persevere for now, but if it keeps up the leaking will be returning it (presuming that's possible) as the whole point of investing in a this tank was for it to be genuinely hassle-free...

Vaping 50/50 6mg liquid in it btw, and at 12watts (1.6 coil)
