Swollen seals

I’ve recently mixed a new batch of orange and menthol. I’ve noticed my seals are starting to swell and pop out from their seated positions. It’s a bit of a pain.
I’ve read in an old thread that citrus flavours can do this. has anyone else had this problem? I guess now I’m gonna try and dilute my batch with base mix. Oh the joys

yup, its a known thing. citrus can cause this.
which concentrates are you using and what % so the experts can give advice.

I’ve been buying the Tonix Blood Orange in a 250 ml bottle with 50 ml of concentrate in it. Then I’ve added 30 ml of Mount Baker Menthol and then filled up with 70/30 pg/vg base mix. Added 10 18 mg Nic shots and let it steep for 2/3 days.

Wow that’s a lot of concentrate mate I’d be diluting as well.

I asked them for directions. They told me to add base mix to the 50 ml of blood orange. Taking the mix to 250 ml and then add whatever nicotine strength I desired. Thing is, before that I had been mixing it myself. I admit that I was winging it. I would do 5 ml of orange, 10 ml of menthol. Add my Nic and then fill up to 120 ml with base mix. It was perfect for me. Then I just happened to mention my mix ratios in a Facebook group and I was told it was all wrong. So being inexperienced with my mixing, I asked what I should be doing and now I’ve got swollen seals

i dont mix anymore but im sure they were right as that just doesnt add up.
what final nic strenght are you trying to get to. is it 6mg.
50ml concentrate will make 250ml once youve added the nic and vg/pg but your using 80ml of concentrate so that will be very strong. i think you need a bigger bottle around the 400ml size.

Yes. It’s 6mg. And honestly, I’ve been winging it.

If what you were doing was working for you then I'd advise you return to that and pay others no more attention to the subject.

As for your current mix swelling seals theres something obviously out of ballance and no way of rectifying it so bin it.
