After reading up on the specs of this board, im having a change of heart, and think I will go with plonking one of these in my build. I feel this choice may also be down to the huge amount of

dna clones around, and my desire for something a little bit different/better, if that wasnt the case why would i be making my own!

To get to the point...most literature seems to lean towards not fusing these boards. If this is correct, Im fine with that! Easier job for me, and i have no interest in adding reverse polarity protection. I think if you cant work out the + and - of a battery you shouldn't be playing with electronics, or should find a responsible adult to supervise :P

The main thing puzzling me however, is the promised mid june update. Adding up/down switch functionality to the board....

Could someone with experience of the 'gravity witchcraft' help me decide if adding switches is a worth while feature to attain. If shaking your mod around to set it isn't as cumbersome or stupid looking as i'm feeling it might be, i could easily be persuaded to take the easy option with my build.

If they will be worth it, can i wire them up before the update is available....and anyone have any luck finding a clear diagram of the chip, with the pads located for wiring the switches....

Thanks to anyone that can help!

I've no experience of the sx350 but I've done a fair amount of reading up on them and the vast majority of 'sceptics' have come round to the idea of leaning the mod to make adjustments and say that it very quickly becomes intuitive.

Thanks for the response :)...think you will become my 'go to' guy, being the font of knowledge that you are . O what have you let yourself in for! :P

Part of the peoples hesitation relating to this mod may be due to the huge amount of money they have invested in there dna counterparts. Still i'll just go for what floats my boat!

The 'tilty wavy' function looked ok from the videos ive seen, however after finding that there are 5 presets you can set to your liking, i think i have been well and truly convinced this is the way to go.

Plus less buttons is more aesthetically pleasing IMO

Parts will be with me soon. Now is just the 'to fuse or not to fuse' question, cant find any definitive answer from looking about. Just the general message that it cant do any harm to add a little extra safety....I will continue magnifying peoples build pics so i can work out if they have bothered!

You tempted to have a crack at one any time soon?

Mine is working nicely, I was a bit worried about the tilt but its really simple. It will be finished tomorrow post permitting so I will post a pic then. I haven't fitted a fuse and couldnt move the wire for reverse polarity as that section of the board was potted in epoxy when I received it.

Happy to help wherever I can but I wouldn't rely on anything I say! ;)

I'm a complete novice at this mod making malarkey but I do like to do my research before starting something and at the moment I'm putting together a bit of hoard of parts! All being well I'll have a go at putting some of my plans into practice in July / August as most of my tools are out in Spain. The Law of Sod dictates that I'll forget to take something simple over with me that's neigh on impossible to source out there! :banghead:

The great thing about this forum is that there's so much collective experience that the solution to virtually any problem is only a couple of posts away!
