Syringes vs Scales

We all know thick gloopy VG is a pain in the Ass to draw into a 10mil syringe! Takes forever especially if you need to measure it in higher volumes.

I purchased digital kitchen scales before Xmas and noticed they can measure in Mil's.

I made 2 lots of my monthly liquid x2 200ml bottles and it took minutes!
I could kick myself wasting all that time with syringes! Lol!

I got some Salter Glass Digital Scales £12.99 from Sainsburys.
Best £12.99 spent in ages

Different liquids have different weights so your scales are probably only accurate for water when measuring in ml.
For large quantities a measuring cylinder is good enough.
I only use syringes for nic and flavour.
You can measure accurately with scales if you make adjustments to account for the different weight of liquids.
None of this is important as long as you are happy with your mix and can reproduce it.

Good point, i used the concentrates in syringes as they draw quickly.
I only used them for the VG.
Once i made the 200ml batch i poured it in to x2 100 ml bottles and it was spot on.
I wasn't confident with the results but it did measures 200 mils after coming off the scales

I know some professionals check the g/l for each ingredient so that they get an accurate mix using scales.

PG is 1.04 grams per ml VG is 1.26 grams flavours and nic will change only slightly

if your mixing for yourself i wouldnt bother getting geeking lol. make a mix,take notes and then repeat that mix as and when you need.

i cant see how the little differences in specific gravity or whatever it is called will make much difference unless you start mixing gallons of the stuff for selling on.

Ha ha good point i only make it for me and a few mates have some.
It works good for me how I'm doing it so will just carry on
