Tank & coils for MTL vaping with high VG liquids

I found this Z-coils guide on the Innokin.com website. It looks like the 1.0 ohm coil has bigger wick holes, as you say. Will make sure I try this one as well as what comes with the tank.

That's not really a MTL coil though mate and it needs 20-25 watts.

The MTL coils should be fine with 70VG ... as long as you don't chain vape like a madman. I think you get two different ones with the tank to try anyway.... so see how you get on.

They are actually changing all their coils to having larger wick holes. Older stock will still have the smaller ones though.

I have received a brand new 5.5 ml Zenith Pro tank and been trying several Z-coils with high VG liquids.

Vaper Street were great, the tank arrived in less than a week, thanks for the tip. I find the tank very solid and well built. The airflow is overall on the airy side for MTL, but great for me with just one hole open. The 5.5 ml large capacity is brilliant, I can just get on.

And YES, the Z-coils will wick high VG thick liquids! I have been vaping 70VG/30PG West Country Dairy Custard Deluxe with the 1.6 ohm Z-coil at 11W for nearly a week and it is still going strong! I believe I got the new coils with larger hole, if I look at the photo from @Dst26 in this thread:

I have also tried the 1 ohm coil with larger wicking hole. It is a warmer vape. I don’t like it as RDL with airflow open, I find it is just tasteless hot air. But it works for me and wicks fine at around 21W with 1 hole airflow. Still going strong after several days.

I tried the 1.2 ohm coil at 11W as well, but I believe I was pulling too hard and I burned it after one tankful. Will try again.

On the flavour front, I find it strange but it seems that after producing a very good flavour at the beginning, the taste becomes a bit dull. I am trying other liquids.

So great results in terms of dealing with high VG liquids, but so far finding the flavour not quite consistent in the set up I tried.

Innokin Zenith Pro is 5.5ml. Have just seen it on a site called Vaper Street. They are in Jersey and don't seem to be restricted by TPD regulations. Have never used them personally but the Google reviews are very positive.

Also bear in mind that this tank is 24mm diameter. I think you would get a slight overhang as the mod is designed for 22mm tanks if I recall correctly. It will still work but you may not like the look.
